Whatfor

If you're wondering why, then I suppose I am, too. Here are my thoughts in an unorganized and rambling fashion:

I intend for this blog to be an avenue for my patriotism and a way to foster yours. I want to promote an understanding of liberty which is based in hard work and has natural limits of morality. It is much too sacred to be misconceived and cheapened to mean 'doing what you want'.

I imagine some of my posts will be in recognition of true heroes, some a pouring forth of political frustration, some cynical, and others that warm the heart. I assure you all of them will be honest.

While I am often saddened by stories of how our country is changing; I will forever be proud of what it is supposed to be. I will live my life preserving that dream for my family and hoping it is recaptured by America as a whole.

I suppose I am also writing for my children. I want this blog to be an anthology that references traditional American values of family, church, hard work, financial responsibility, unselfishness and national allegiance. While most of society would currently do away with them, they are what I hold dearest and will never relinquish.

In an age where patriotism is not only lacking, but often frowned upon, I encourage you to herald your love of country. Not through words, but in action. It starts with the family.
